Artist and Poet

Spring is Here

Thirteen year-old Wayne wrote poetry.

This was printed in the March 29, 1977 edition of the Holyoke [Ma.] Transcript-Telegram.  It was intended to be in the “Mini Page,” which was a section for kids.  Thirteen-year-old Wayne was excited to see that it was published in the “Oracle,” that featured poetry primarily written by adults.

Sketching for Habitat (May 28)

[UPDATE: ‘Twas a sunny, beatutiful day.  I had a fantastic time, as I always do sketching.  Plus, my jelly jar was filled up with enough Habitat for Humanity donations to make the day a TOTAL success.]

Wayne Gagnon will be at the Granby UCC Tag & Craft Fair on Granby Common Saturday (May 28).  He will be sketching to raise money in support of Habitat for Humanity.

Wayne will be there from (about) 10 am to 2 pm.

Mural Unveiling

Wayne Gagnon - Habitat Mural

Wayne Gagnon, just after unveiling the Habitat for Humanity Mural on May 15, 1011.  The painting is to be installed in Springfield, MA office. For each house that Habitat closes on, there will be a yellow bird house hung on the tree.

Such a fun event!  Such a great turnout for this fund raising event.  There was a lot of art from members of the Granby Community. The media was there.
