My Buddy Bunny

“My Buddy Bunny”
by Wayne Gagnon

This world is a million times sunny…
…when hanging with my-buddy… Bunny.Wayne Gagnon - Purple Bunny

The Stress and the strife go away…
…at the close of-a freaky-ish day.

No need for a bucket of money…
…when hanging with my-buddy… Bunny.

Away from the feelings of blue…
…at least for a moment or two.

Sweet tea with smidgen of honey…
…when hanging with my-buddy… Bunny.

My best friend will sing me to sleep…
…instead of the need to count sheep.

This world is a million times sunny…
…when hanging with my-buddy… Bunny.

NOTE: Larger versions of these two guys were used to do a one-man-duet in the Black Cat Theater 25-year retrospective performance called “Cast Party” in So. Hadley, MA (November 2011). Wayne, Robert and Paul sang “Company Way” from “How to Succeed in Business Without Really Trying.”  The smaller, portable puppets were used for the audition and rehearsals as well as dance partners at the REAL cast party.  (OOPS…  What happens at the cast party, stays at the cast party.  La La La.)

Expectations

“Expectations”
by Wayne Gagnon

Amid the vernal jubilation…
(waits a healthy expectation)

Amid the summer sublimation…
(waits a guarded expectation)

Amid autumnal limitation…
(waits a foolish expectation)

Amid the winter isolation…
(waits a chilling expectation)

Amid the springtime germination…
(waits another expectation)
