WAYNE GAGNON

Artist and Poet

An Average Saturday

Today I shall roam; To find me a poem; I shall share it with you when I make it back home.

Challenge accepted…

Wayne Gagnon - Saturday arrow flower

“An Average Saturday”
by Wayne Gagnon

An iris, a pizza…
…shoot arrows too high.
‘Tis better to laugh…
…I’d rather not cry.

The air is quite humid…
…thick as pea soup.
My friend went up north…
…to clean up mouse poop.

Tables and chairs…
…and seltzer that’s cold.
Too tired for baskets…
…I’m feeling quite old.

Some animal crackers…
…and instant iced joe.
I stabbed my left thumb…
…but not my right toe.
